Why Catholics want both the cross, if it was the weapon that killed Jesus?. It was the cross that killed Jesus, but our sins. The cross was an instrument so that Jesus could save us, the door that allowed
enter into his glory.

Verily I say unto you, the grain of wheat falls to the ground and dies, it remains alone, but if dies, it bears much fruit "(John 12.23-24) "Blessed is the wood that was the instrument of your salvation! (Sab.14, 7) Why Catholics on Good Friday worship the cross? On Good Friday, Catholics do not worship the material cross, but the "mystery of the cross", ie, Christ died for us on the cross (Fil.3, 18; 1Cor.1, 23)
